That is why shaking your phone, taping it to a fan, or handing it to your dog does nothing: the phone isn't the one counting.

No. Matches are decided by the steps you take — skill-based, with no chance element. Free matches are always available.

A paid single-elimination knockout for teams of two. Each round your team is drawn against one other couple, and the team score is the sum of both partners' wearable-verified steps for that round's window. Higher combined total advances. The field holds 4,096 teams and the pool is $655,360 when it fills — but you never have to beat 4,096 teams, only the one in front of you.

Apple Watch, Fitbit, Google Pixel Watch, Samsung Galaxy Watch, Google Wear OS, Garmin and Amazfit. Samsung and Amazfit count for daily matches; hourly paid matches need Apple Watch, Fitbit, Pixel Watch, Wear OS or Garmin.

No. Phone step counts are accepted for free matches, where there is no money on the line. Paid matches need a wearable, because that is where money changes hands and a phone pedometer is too easy to fake.

Within about an hour for intraday matches, and within 12 hours for daily ones. Settlement follows the sync, not the clock — so a result can land a little after the match window closes.

Open your watch's own app first. Lucilla reads what your device has already uploaded to its health service, so nothing arrives here until that upload does. Check Lucilla still has permission to read health data, then give it the sync window above. If the steps are still missing after that, open a support ticket with the match and the day.

In your own wallet on Base. Lucilla never takes custody of it — winnings and earnings are yours outright, not a balance we are holding for you.

No. Your wallet is created and unlocked with a passkey — the Face ID, Touch ID or device unlock your phone already uses. The key never leaves your device, and there is no phrase to lose or to be tricked into typing somewhere.

Yes. It is a normal wallet on Base, so you can send your USDC to any address — an exchange like Coinbase, or another wallet you control — whenever you want. Nothing has to stay inside Lucilla.

No. Payments from your Lucilla wallet are sponsored, so staking a match or paying inside the app does not require you to keep a separate blockchain token on hand for fees.

Use the deletion form at lucilla.app/delete-account. You get a confirmation email within 24 hours, then the account enters a 30-day grace period before permanent deletion.

Move it first. Deleting the account permanently removes your access to the wallet, and Lucilla cannot recover funds from a deleted wallet. Withdraw your USDC to an external address, and let any active matches settle, before you submit the request.

Deleted immediately: your profile, social posts, comments and chats, journal entries, step history and wearable sync data, push tokens, and login access. Kept in a locked retention store for as long as applicable law requires are wallet addresses, USDC transaction history and match records, and the name, email, phone and date of birth linked to them. They are permanently deleted when the retention period ends.

Yes, at lucilla.app/delete-data. Some things cannot be removed while the account is active or while the law requires them: match history, on-chain transactions, your wallet address, financial records the law requires us to keep, and anything tied to an unsettled match.

Transactions on Base are public and immutable, so the hashes stay there permanently. They carry no personally identifying information — they are anonymized records of value moving, not of who you are.
